Hugs to Cheer You
Hello everyone!
I have a new card post to share for the 30 Day Color Challenge hosted by Kathy (see her Instagram page) at The Daily Marker. I used emboss resist technique with watercolor distress inks and Copic markers for my coloring mediums. Here's my finished card:
I have a new card post to share for the 30 Day Color Challenge hosted by Kathy (see her Instagram page) at The Daily Marker. I used emboss resist technique with watercolor distress inks and Copic markers for my coloring mediums. Here's my finished card:
I stamped the Bundle of Blossoms background stamp by My Favorite Things onto water color paper cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 using VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled Hero Arts white embossing powder all over panel then heat set it using my heat tool until it was melted. I used my 3/4 sized paint brush by Ranger and clean water to paint thick stripes of distress inks (Fire Brick, Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed) on top of the embossed watercolor panel so that the image from the background stamp would appear white. Once my panel was dry, I die cut the Painted Hugs die by Simon Says Stamp from white cardstock and sponged Fire Brick distress ink on top of it. I also cut the Painted Hugs die out of white fun foam to give the painted Hugs die some dimension. I adhered it onto the watercolor panel and added some glossy accents on top of it to give it some shine. I stamped and one of the bears from the Friends Furever stamp set by My Favorite Things using Memento black ink then colored the bear using Copic markers (E11, E15, E18). I cut out the bear using the Friends Furever Coordinating Dies. I adhered it next to the Hugs die with 3D foam tape. Finally, I stamped the "To Cheer You" sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock using VersaMark ink, heat set it with white Hero Arts embossing power them adhered it under the bear using 3D foam tape. I adhered the finished panel onto an A2 size top folding card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a very blessed day!
HUGS!!!

30 Day Color Challenge: SSS Bright Blossoms
Hello everyone!
It is day 6 of the 30 day color challenge sponsored by Kathy at The Daily Marker, and I have a card design to share using Tim Holtz Distress Inks as my color medium:
I started this card by cutting a white heavy weight card panel using the largest Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. I used a round blending tool to sponge Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin distress inks onto the white panel. I splattered some clean water droplets onto the panel of distress ink, then dried it with a paper towel. I then splattered some Copic Opaque White ink mixed with a little water from my paint brush onto the panel as well as some Black Soot Distress ink mixed with water.
I cut 5 of the Bright Blossoms dies from white cardstock and adhered them together for some dimension, and I cut a 6th flower from water color paper. I water colored the 6th flower's petals using Mustard Seed distress ink mixed with water, and once it was dry, and popped the petals into the dimensional piece with 3D foam tape. I cut the Thanks die by Simon Says Stamp 4 times adhering them together for dimension and adhered it onto my card panel. I embossed a sentiment from the "Because" stamp and die set by My Favorite Things using white embossing power and heat set onto a black strip of cardstock. I adhered that below the Thanks die using 3D foam tape. I finished the card by adding some clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh using Multi Medium Matt glue and placed the finished panel on an A2 sized top folding card from black heavy weight cardstock.

30 Day Color Challenge: Mama Elephant Organic Blooms
Hello everyone!
It's that time again: The 30 Day Color Challenge (see Kathy's Blog for details). The challenge encourages anyone who wants to color to do just that...COLOR! Coloring has been proven to be a great stress reliever, and it's something fun to do. You can get your kids involved with the color challenge, too! If you have an Instagram account, just upload your images using the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Since I've been sick off and on for a few months now (Rheumatoid Arthritis woes), I haven't been able to create very much, but I have some card designs I've done between flair-ups. I made this card using my FAVORITE color medium: watercolor.
I stamped my image (Organic Blooms by Mama Elephant) on watercolor cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. To raise the image and give it some shine, I added Ultra Fine Clear Embossing powder by Hero Arts while the image was still wet then heat set it with my heat tool. I colored my image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a detailed water brush. I finished the card with some dark splatters using Black Soot Distress Ink, used a small wavy scalloped die (Simon Says Stamps) to cut the water colored panel, then using the same Black Soot Distress Ink with a diagonal stencil (Simon Says Stamps) on the bottom on the card base. Added some clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh and a white embossed sentiment strip on black cardstock from Winnie and Walter.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to stop by Instagram and search #thedailymarker30day to see more colorful creations!
